You know the saying: “April showers bring May flowers." Today, we’re sharing 14 spots to see May flowers.

Gardens

If you don’t have much of a green thumb to make your own May flowers, consider visiting a local garden to admire the work of skilled horticulture professionals.

Hollis Gardens, 614 E. Orange St. | Venture over to Hollis Gardens at Lake Mirror Tues.-Sun. from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. for patterned flower beds across a 1.2-acre-formal garden.
Auburndale Rotary Butterfly Garden, West Park Street | Take a ~25-minute drive to Auburndale and view the flora featured in the city’s downtown park. While there, bask in the sights and smells of 30 different plant species, both native + non-native.
Bok Tower Gardens, 1151 Tower Blvd. | Make a day trip out of this historic Polk County garden featuring classic architecture, bird watching trails, and, of course, multiple gardens embedded throughout the grounds.
Cypress Gardens, 1 Legoland Way | The next time you find yourself at Legoland, be sure to carve out time to visit the botanical gardens — AKA the remnants of Cypress Gardens — a former theme park from 1939.
