In case you missed it, this week (May 2-5, 2022) is National Small Business Week, and in typical LAL fashion, we’re spotlighting six of your favorite small businesses in the Lakeland area.

Shop stop

June Taylor, 125 N. Kentucky Ave

If you need a gift (ahem, Mother’s Day is Sun., May 8) you can’t go wrong with a trip to June Taylor. Go for the vintage furniture, decor, and art. Pro tip: Take advantage of the biz’s newest offer, custom design services.

Brew crew

Dissent Craft Brewing, 125 S. Kentucky Ave.

This independent brewery offers craft brews on tap as well as cans for those looking to take their favorite blends home. Head over to its tasting room and let the beer-tenders charter your flight of beers.

For the bookworms

Inklings Book Shoppe, 2120 S. Combee Rd.

Named for the writing group formed by J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis, this used book store has been doing business for over 40 years. Check out its selection of over 200,000 books.

Foodie cravings

Pinoy Cravings, multiple locations

If you haven’t caught onto this craze, you are missing out. Catch one of its events (like the upcoming Kamayan Brunch on Sun., May 15) for sweet and savory Filipino fare.

Sweat it out

CYCLEdelic, 3505 Cleveland Heights Blvd.

Looking for a new way to spin? CYCLEdelic is an indoor cycling concourse that offers classes (or “trips”) guided by fitness professionals all week long. We recommend sticking around for a post-ride smoothie.

Don’t forget the developers

TDW Land Planning, 218 E. Pine St.

TDW helps property owners + developers to improve development opportunities and realize the land’s full potential.

We know there’s more. Tell us which small businesses you can’t live without. 👀
