Ah yes, San Jose... we see another astrological reading in the stars for you.

But instead of heading to a new museum or gallery, it’s time to sip your sign — here are 12 local bars we’ve matched with each sign on the zodiac calendar.

♈ Aries (March 21-April 19): El Jardín

Set in the bustling center of Santana Row, your bold and high-energy personality will thrive in the atmosphere of this upbeat tequila bar. Treat your fiery side to the Sandia Picante, made with Fiero Habanero Tequila and house-made watermelon puree.

♉ Taurus (April 20-May 20): V Bar

As a luxury lover, you'll enjoy the swanky vibe of this modern lounge atop the Valencia Hotel — complete with a back-lit, red marble bar. Sip on the Santana 75, made with Sipsmith London Dry Gin, raspberries, and sparkling wine, while enjoying a view of The Row.

♊ Gemini (May 21-June 21): San Pedro Social

This entertainment hub in downtown is the perfect spot for you, social butterfly, to chat, dance, bowl, and sing the night away. Enjoy eccentric cocktails as fun as you, like E-40's Blue Wave, made with the rapper's tequila anejo, coconut crème, pineapple juice, and blue curacao.

♋ Cancer (June 22-July 22): Nomikai

The sentimental and emotional nature of your sign is the perfect match for this intimate downtown bar. As someone who equates love with food, sit back and enjoy the Asian-fusion flavors on Nomikai's menu, paired with a lychee martini.

♌ Leo (July 23-August 22): 55 South

Both you and 55 South bring the bright and bold energy to the forefront. This bar is always decked out in vibrant, seasonal decor, and keeps its menu fresh with new craft cocktails for every occasion. As a natural performer, you'll enjoy the many DJs and featured acts that come through this establishment.

♍ Virgo (August 23-September 22): The Vesper

As someone who is detail oriented and often meticulous, you'll find appreciation in The Vesper's bartenders and their creatively crafted cocktails. The menu of 40+ concoctions may be intimidating, but we suggest starting with the Everything Nice, made with chai-infused vodka, coconut cream, and honey syrup.

♎ Libra (September 23-October 23): SP2

You're wonderful at the balancing act, and so is SP2 with its great blend of craft cocktails and bottle service, four food menus, live music + local DJ acts, and even game day celebrations. There's a little bit of everything at this venue, which is perfect when you're feeling indecisive.

♏ Scorpio (October 24-November 21): Haberdasher

Venture into the intimate basement of the Haberdasher — its dark and mysterious yet inviting vibe will make you feel right at home. Some may say you're the sassiest of the signs, so why not order a Backhanded Compliment, made with Knob Creek Rye, Ancho Reyes Chile liqueur, and lime bitters.

♐ Sagittarius (November 22-December 21): Five Points

As someone who loves to learn new things and share that knowledge with others, you'll appreciate this establishment that was inspired by speakeasies in the most notorious neighborhood in New York during the 19th century. Sip something new at the bar's Tequila Tuesday, offering all tequila and mezcal for 50% off.

♑ Capricorn (December 22-January 19): Mini Boss

You value tradition, and in this bar, the tradition of spending all day at the arcade runs strong. Treat yourself to a clever cocktail like Mario Party, made with Espolon Reposado Tequila, spicy tamarind, and melon bitters. Fuel your competitive side with its 30+ arcade machines — which are free to play on Thursdays.

♒ Aquarius (January 20-February 18): Dr. Funk

Find your type of spunk at Dr. Funk. This tiki bar has 20 unique "peculiar potions" to try — including a Thai tea-infused drink and even a four-rum concoction. Your dreamy, free-spirited personality will find the fun in being transported to another island in this establishment.

♓ Pisces (February 19-March 20): San Pedro Square Market Bar

As someone who is easily adaptable and highly creative, you'll enjoy this relaxed San Pedro Square Market watering hole. Enjoy local wines, craft beers, and both classic + unique cocktails — set in an airy environment filled with live music, various dining options, and historical landmarks.
