This week, Deadline reported that Kristen Stewart would be joining Michael Cera, Maya Erskine, and Michael Angarano in the upcoming film "Sacramento." Described as a road trip comedy, the project was originally announced in November 2020 with a 2021 shooting window before languishing in — wait for it — arrested development (see what we did there).

The movie's plot is described as the story of buds Rickey and Glenn — played by Angarano and Cera respectively — taking a road trip from LA to Sac where they must reflect on their past and question their future. Stewart will play Glenn's wife, Rosie, while Angarano's real-life fiance Erskine will play Rickey's wife, Tallie.

Shooting is expected to begin this spring, with Angarano directing. He also served as co-writer of the script with Chris Smith.
